Daguerreotype of young girl in very rare beehive union case in very good condition for age.

This is from c.1856-1857. Image very sharp with slight fading in center as shown. Gold pendant treatment added by studio.

Berg's book on union cases shows this case #1-90 as very rare.

Case has a chip on top edge as shown and a couple other hard to see chips also on edges.

Pad in nice condition and hinges strong and closes securely.
